Our immersive and interactive environment to support individuals and families

Powered by Giants Community Trust, our Multi-sensory zone is a state-of-the-art facility equipped to suit all ages for individuals that will benefit from sensory environments – including those with physical/ learning disabilities, sensory needs/ impairments. It is a safe haven and calm environment ideal for relaxation if individuals become overwhelmed.

Professionally finished, the room provides an exploration of visual, tactile and audio stimuli. Adaptable, users can choose to enjoy the experience passively or more interactively – tailoring to suit the needs of the user.

Filled with a series of sensory lights, bubble tube, dynamic colour lighting, fibre optics, interactive floor and wall projector featuring stimulating games, puzzles and scenarios, soft playmats, toys and much more – the room offers great potential to explore.

The room is available to be hired individually or as a small group (max of 4 users), you can view the availability via the booking system.

Location/ Entrance details: The Zone, St Andrews Road, HD1 6PT. Entrance is via the smaller side door, which is to the left hand side of the main entrance when looking at The Zone front doors.
